Work Webcam Alert!

I was right! All those months ago when webcams first appeared in my workplace I suspected a webcam would soon point my way, and now there's a webcam right on my desk!

Yes, you now very possibly have the amazing once in a lifetime chance to see me working, and maybe even giving my nose a stealth-wipe. Fantastic.

Unfortunately I can't really blame work, because I chose to bring MY webcam into work to give fans of our game a window into the department responsible for creating the scenes people will be able to make up into movies. :)

Yes, I unleashed this on myself. But you see it is for humanitarian reasons, well at least in some obscure non-dictionary-definition kind of way.

You know me, give me a spotlight and I'll perform. Heck, who needs a spotlight?! I didn't do years of acting and singing for nothing you know. :)

Anyhow, back to the point says the most quick to tangent man in the world. Check out my webcam at my work! It's great!

Maybe you'll see me for the first time in years. Maybe you'll see me for the first time. Maybe you'll be bored out of your mind? Probably. It's just ye olde Ash up to his old tricks again. Yup that's me! Well, unless of course the camera is pointing towards someone completely different. But you see, I'm the one that looks most like me. Got it? Good. :)

The Wizard has Wandered

That's right! Frimlin the Wandering Wizard has wandered once more, and now I'm living in a completely new place.

At the end of August I moved out of my old home on Saffron Platt in North Guildford, and now I live right in the centre of town on the charmingly named Nightingale Road. It's right next to the London Road train station, which will make travel easy should I actually decide to leave the tight confines of my everyday... :)

The place is really lovely, which is good because I'm now paying at least a half more again what I was paying before. Erm. What I mean is that I'm now paying 150% the rent I used to pay. OK got that? :) I was never good with numbers either...

Plus I've got broadband internet in my new place, so it's all setup the way I like it. Generally I suppose you can say, this move has been the best thing to happen to me in a long while. Yes it would seem I need to get out more often...

Apart from that, everything is going well. My new housemate is a guy from work, Pete Coward, who's been working on integrating our game with the Internet. Decent chap. :)

For a while there we were considering getting a house with three people, but it got a bit hard to organise so Pete and I just went for a place together. Well, as you can see now, we lucked out big time -- the place is really lovely. :) I'll have to take some photos and stick them up on my photo blog sometime.

Still yet to have a house warming, though. And with the continuing lack of furniture in the lounge, I don't think we'll be having one for a while.

Did I tell you of the view? Yeah the view from the lounge is right over Guildford town centre. And now that the Winter is encroaching, leaves are falling and you can see Guildford Cathedral. OK so Guildford isn't the most scenic place in the world, but anyhow, that's not the point. :)

So anyway, what else? Mum visited for a little while, just after I had moved into the new place. It was, as always, lovely to see her and talk face to face. :) We even managed to work our way through bottle upon bottle of the lovely white wine Torres Vino Esmeralda that we found whilst on holiday in Barcelona last year -- it was the one we sipped in the pizza restaurant outside the Sagrada Familia. :)

Nigel has visited loads -- pretty much every second weekend, which is actually just about perfect. I love having time to myself to relax and recoup, but I also crave the companionship of someone that really does understand me a great deal. Such people are hard to find in this life, sometimes! Nigel is most certainly one of those people.

So what else? Well, you're right, I have gone on already. But you know what? I'm *allowed* to go on and on like this in my own blog! OK I know I'm gushing / waffling but hey. It's been a while. And anyhow, everyone's sick of that Bush in 30 seconds stuff now that we're so very much aware how little it seemed to help in the end. But actually, despite all my criticism of Bush and his administration, I do think that it is bad to switch Presidents during a war -- even if I believe in many ways (though not all (gee aren't I diplomatic!)) that the war was the wrong idea in the first place.

Well that's about it for now. Don't be a stranger, leave a comment or MY GOD email me! Too many years pass too quickly.
