I read an article on the BBC website about trouble in the Sims Online which mentions The Alphaville Herald, a website which reports on the happenings in Alphaville -- the largest virtual city in the Sims Online. Kinda inspired me to write this little ditty... A note to thee, who seeks to dwell in Alphaville -- online pit of Hell. Where best laid plans of mouse and Sim, collapse to fulfil our every whim. An innocent utopia it cannot be, whilst each Sim's controlled by you or me. The safest option, if you heed my warning, is never to open your eyes in the morning. At 1:48 PM, Frimlin posted this: Back in the black! Yippee! My December salary was just paid into my account and, just for a few days at least, I'm out of debt! I'm so happy! My bank balance has been below zero since receiving only partial salary for the couple of months of work I did at Creature Labs earlier this year -- just before the company died. I finally received a small amount of redundancy a couple of weeks ago, but it was such a small amount, it hardly changed a thing. Strangely, some of my former colleagues at Creature Labs were under the deluded impression that I somehow got a better deal than they, because I was made redundant just prior to the company folding. That was not the case, and I said that quite clearly to people at the time! No, despite the fact I was working till my very day, I still got financially screwed out of it. So anyhow, positive news abounds! The sad bit is that once my December rent goes out on the 24th, I'm back under zero again. But this is a start.
